An unannounced renewal inspection was completed on September 10, 2019, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. for JABA Adult Care Center in Louisa, Virginia. Upon arrival, the licensing representative met with one of the designated staff member on duty and the director in order to initiate an entrance conference. The center reported the census as five participants in care with two direct care staff members on duty. After the entrance conference, a sample of five (5) participant records and three employee records were reviewed in order to assess compliance. After the sample record review, the assigned licensing representative toured the center and observed participants involved in daily activities. The licensing representative reviewed staff training records and the center?s first aid kit. All prior cited violations were corrected per the facility?s plan of correction and no new violations were cited during this renewal inspection.
