Comments:
An unannounced complaint investigation was initiated on July 1, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and concluded on July 9, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Based on review of written documentation, staff interviews, and a photograph, the allegations made by the complainant regarding unlocked medication and confidentiality were determined to be valid. Based on review of written documentation, a Snapchat photo, and staff interviews, the facility failed to have staff always ensure the care and protection of children. 1. The social media policy states "At no time may any employee mention their (facility) school, discuss information about the centers, parents, children, or colleagues, or post photos or videos of children, parents, families, or activities at the center online." 2. A photograph of an 16 month old girl was posted on Snap Chat between January 2019 and March 2019. 3. The parents did not give permission for photographs to be posted online.

Description:
Based on staff interview and review of photograph, the facility failed to keep all medication in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children. Evidence: a photograph of a sixteen month old child in the Baby Birds 2 room shows the child seated at a table with a bottle of Robitussin sitting on the floor within reach.
