Technical Assistance:
Discussed with provider public health recommendations provided for schools and child care programs. Please review COVID-19 updates, decision tools, and FAQ's posted on the VDSS website. Program is currently closed due to the COVID19 pandemic.
Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A monitoring inspection was initiated on 5/27/2020 and concluded on 5/27/2020. The extended day director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were no children present and no staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs. Based on review of emergency drills and interview, evacuation drills were incomplete.
Evidence: There was no emergency drill documented for February 2020.

We will ensure we practice evacuation drills every month.
