Technical Assistance:
Discussed the training due 3/01/2020.

Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on September 19, 2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements.
The subsidy requirements were reviewed this date; allergy action plans, staff trainings, nutrition and food services, recordkeeping, hazardous substances, reporting injuries, emergency plans and transportation.
A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-580-B
Description: Based on record review, all staff did not complete the required Virginia Preservice training within the first 90 days of employment.
Evidence:
1. Staff #1 began employment on 4/26/2019 and had not completed the Virginia Preservice Training.
2. Staff #2 began employment on 3/25/2019 and had not completed the Virginia Preservice Training.

Plan of Correction: I will ask staff #1 and staff #2 to complete the training.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-580-F
Description: Based on record review, all staff who work directly with children did not complete CPR and First Aid training within the first 90 days of employment.
Evidence:
1. Staff #1 began employment on 4/26/2019 and had not completed CPR or First Aid training.

Plan of Correction: I will call the instructor set up a time for the staff member to get the training.
