Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
Health and Safety inspection was conducted review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were ten children in care with two staff. Children present ranged in age from four months to four years old. Children were observed in teacher and self-directed activities.
A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Based on record review the vendor failed to demonstrate compliance with with regards to the required 10 hour preservice, health and safety training and annual three hour health and safety update. Evidence: 1 - The information provided as the staff record for staff 1 did not include documentation of preservice training or annual update. a. Staff 1 has a documented date of hire as 5/22/17.
