Comments:
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 04/06/2022 and concluded on 04/07/2022. The director was contacted by email to initiate the inspection. There were 7 children present and 1 staff. There was a backup person available is necessary. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 1 staff records, along with any requested program records submitted by the facility to determine if required documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on record review of children's and staff's records the center failed to ensure that a staff member who meets the MAT training requirements of the standard was present for any child that has an emergency medication.
Evidence: 1. Child # 1 has an emergency medication prescribed and on site; Staff # 1 did not have a MAT training. She is in the process of obtaining the training, the online portion has been completed.
Plan of Correction:
The director and staff will work to complete the remaining portion of the MAT training.
