A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 11/13/2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted during the after-school program from 2:00pm-5:00pm. There were 31 children (5yrs.-14yrs.) directly supervised by 3 staff. The physical plant, 5 staff records, 5 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, coloring, working on their homework, eating snack, and playing in the gym. There was an adequate supply of materials for the children. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the Violation Notice.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
