Technical Assistance:
Discussed injury records and there steps when children putting stuff in the mouth.
Recommended for center to create checklist for the new computer system to track required information for children records.
Comments:
A unannounced mandated monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on May 1, 2024 from 9:10am - 11:35am. There were 12 children with 6 staff present. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of five children records and five staff records were reviewed. The inspector observed children were freely playing , diapering, potty training, and morning snack. The outside areas was inspected. Five staff and children records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on record review, the licensee did not ensure at least every two years from date of the first initial screening.
Evidence: Staff #1 had a TB test results but did not have a complete date on the document. Unable to determine if the TB results were completed with the past 2 years. Confirmed with staff in charge.
Plan of Correction:
Staff fomrs will be checked before placing in files. The RN will be contacted to put a date on the document.

Description:
Based on observation the licensee, did not enure the center maintain a current written list of all children's allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions documented in the allergy plan required in 8VAC20-780-60 A 8. This list shall be dated and kept confidential in each room or area where children are present.
Evidence: The allergie , sensitivities, and dietary restrictions list did not have date and were not in the classroom confidential. The list was posted up visible in the classroom to everyone.
Plan of Correction:
All allergy, dietary restriction, sensitivities list will have dates and will be kept confidential in the cabinet.
