Comments:
An annual RECDC subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted on today's date. The center has 76 children in care with 16 staff. All groupings are in ratio. The center has rooms with lots of space and supplies for the children to explore. Observed the children painting in pairs, making treasures from trash, eating snack, having music and playing outside. Snacks are provided by the center and lunch are brought from home. Interaction between staff and children observed in all the groupings. This visit was started at 10:20 and ended at 11:30 Please call me at 703-203-8659 if you have any questions regarding this inspection.
Based on conversation with the director and the review of the handbook. The center failed to have one of the components required to be given to the public and parents. Evidence: The center does not have the information regarding the center being covered by the churches liability insurance.
Plan of Correction:
We will add this to our handbook and also inform the parents by email.
