Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was conducted on 5/14/2021. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 8 children present and 1 staff and 2 volunteers. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 1 volunteer record submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Please complete the columns for "Plan of Correction" and "Date to be Corrected" for each violation cited on the Violation Notice, and then return a signed and dated copy to the licensing office by 4pm on Monday 5/24/2021. Please email me at morgan.bryson1@dss.virginia.gov with any questions.
Based on record review, the center did not ensure that all volunteers have the results of a Virginia Central Registry of Child Abuse and Neglect search results on file within 30 days of volunteering.
Evidence: Volunteer #1 (Start Date: 11/11/2019) does not have Virginia Central Registry of Child Abuse and Neglect search results on file.
Plan of Correction:
Volunteer #1 will complete Central Registry Search.
