Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.
A monitoring inspection was conducted on September 16, 2021. The program manager was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 20 children present, ranging in age from 5 to 12 years, and in the care of three staff. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies. A total of 3 children's records and 3 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and the violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on review of three staff records and verification from the program manager, one staff member did not obtain the results of a two year follow-up tuberculosis (TB) screening.
Evidence: 1. The most recent tuberculosis screening for Staff Member #2 was dated 02/17/2019. An updated two-year negative screening or test had not been obtained. 2. The program manager confirmed that Staff Member #2 had not gotten an updated TB screening.
Plan of Correction:
The staff member has gotten the paperwork and will get a updated TB screening asap.
