Maintenance of physical space, caregiver's trainings.
Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 1/29/24 from 10:10 am to 11:25 am. There were 6 children (14 points) in care of 2 caregivers. The children were observed playing with toys and getting diapered. Attendance records, drill logs, 2 children's records and 2 caregivers records were reviewed. There were no children on site with medications. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. REPEAT VIOLATION Based on observation, areas and equipment inside the family day home were not maintained in a safe condition. Evidence: 1. The top cover for the metal heating radiator located by the front entrance door does not stay on exposing the sharp metal pieces inside. The end of the metal cover was found to be rusty along with the some of the metal pieces inside the radiator. 2. Peeling paint was found on the wall in the play area.
Plan of Correction:
The radiator will be fix and the areas with peeling paint was covered during the inspection until it can be taken care of.
