Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 12/3/2019 between the hours of 9:30am through 2:00pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. At the time of entrance, 53 children were in care with 10 staff members present. Children were observed during snack time, circle time, identifying colors, and playing independently. A selection of 4 staff and 5 children records, the physical space, emergency supplies, evacuation drills, attendance records, injury reports, medications and the Emergency Preparedness Plan were reviewed. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Based on observation and record review, the center did not document the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.
Evidence: 1. There were 16 children observed present in the 4year old classroom. The arrival of 13 of 16 children was documented on the attendance sheet. 2. There were 11 children observed present in the infant classroom. The arrival of 9 of 11 children was documented on the attendance sheet.
Plan of Correction:
We will instruct parents to make sure to check the children in and staff will check to make sure it is completed.
