Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 11/1/2023. There were 17 children, ages 5 -10 years and 3 staff present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, personnel, environment and equipment, care of children, preventing the spread of disease, emergencies and nutrition. A total of 4 children?s records and 2 staff records were reviewed. The children were observed during arrival and snack time. The inspector arrived for the inspection at 2:30pm and departed the center at 3:44pm.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the provider.
Based on observation and discussion with staff, the center failed to ensure that at least one staff in each classroom or area where children are present shall have within 90 days CPR and first aid training.
Evidence: Staff #2 was hired on 3/22/2023 and on the day of the inspection did not have training in CPR and first aid.
Plan of Correction:
Provider will ensure staff receive CPR and first aid training.
