Licensing Inspector arrived at 10:00 and departed at 11:00 AM to conduct a religiously exempt child day center code compliance inspection. At the time of the inspection, there were 32 children, ages two through preschool in care with six staff. Children were observed playing outside, preparing to go outside and participating in a music and movement class.
Based on review of 13 staff records, it was determined that the facility did not ensure that all staff had a completed search of the central registry on file within 30 days of employment.
Evidence: The record for staff #11 did not include a completed search of the central registry. Center management acknowledged that the staff member had been employed over 30 days.
Plan of Correction:
Employee completed check and had it notarized on the day of the inspection. The check will be mailed on 10/28, once a check is received from the bookkeeper.
