Technical Assistance:
All subsidy must update the preservice training with the three hour annual update by 3/1/2020. A link to the training can be found under notices on the VA DSS/CDC website.
Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 12/16/2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Based on record review, 1 of 3 staff did not have documentation of first aid and CPR certification within the required time frame for a subsidy participant. Evidence: Staff #3 did not have documentation of current first aid/CPR certification within days of employment. (Date of hire 6/2019)
