Comments:
A renewal inspection was initiated on 9/2/2022 and concluded on 9/2/2022. There were a total of 8 children with 2 staff members present. Children were observed playing on the playground, engaged in group activities and washing their hands. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 2 child records and 4 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on observation, resilient surfacing on the playground did not comply with the minimum safety standards.
Evidence: Mulch on playground was not deep enough to provide a resilient surface.
Plan of Correction:
Center will have additional mulch spread on playground to ensure a resilient surface.
