Comments:
This annual subsidy inspection was conducted by the inspector using an alternate remote protocol necessary due to a state of emergency declared by the Governor of Virginia in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Preliminary data was obtained from the vendor on January 14, 2021. An annual subsidy inspection was initiated on January 19, 2021 which time the vendor was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection, and concluded on January 20, 2021. The inspector emailed the vendor a list of items required to complete the inspection. The vendor reported there were 44 children in care. The inspector reviewed four children's records and four staff records submitted by the vendor to ensure compliance with the health and safety regulations. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs. Information gathered during the inspection determined areas of non-compliance with applicable regulations or law, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the vendor.
Based on record review, in three of four children's records reviewed, the vendor did not ensure that each child's record was documented with all required information.
Evidence: The director confirmed that the following information had not been documented in each child's record: Child #1-work address for one parent Child #2 and Child #4- address for one emergency contact and the place of employment and work address of one or both parents
Plan of Correction:
We are going to make all corrections to all paperwork for student files.
