Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documentation review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.
A code compliance inspection was initiated on December 3, 2021 and concluded on December 13, 2021. The director was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 19 children present with 3 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, and medication. A total of 2 children?s records and 2 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable code sections and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program
Based on record review and licensee interviews, the licensee did not ensure to obtain a Search of the Central Registry finding within 30 days of employment or volunteer service.
Evidence: The center director confirmed, there were not findings of the Virginia Search of the Central Registry available for review during the inspection for Staff #1 (date of hire 8-19-2019) and Staff #2 (date of hire 9-7-21).
Plan of Correction:
All child and neglect background checks were mailed in at the proper times -results on findings have been requested on 12-6-21 & and again on 12-13-21. (emailed and called). Date of correction when central registry is available to send.
