Technical Assistance:
Inspector strongly recommends that additional staff receive specialized medication administration training for one child who requires emergency medication. Currently one staff member has obtained the required training. Additional staff should be trained in the event that the staff member is unable to provide supervision for child needing the specific medication.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 8:30am-9:30pm. There were 21 children directly supervised by 5 staff. The physical plant, 4 staff training records, 5 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed playing puzzles, crafting, playing with Lego bricks, and playing card games. Smooth transitions were observed while children were dismissed to class. There was an assortment of age appropriate materials for the children in care. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.
