Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 9:00 am-10:00 am. There were a total of 59 children with 3 staff members present. Children were observed arriving to the program, hand washing, snack time, engaged in group activities board games, cards and legos. A selection of staff training's, children records, medications and other documents were reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Based on observation, the program is not following the required ratios of one staff for every 18 children for children eligibility to attend public school through eight years old. Evidence: At 9:05 am there are 3 staff with 57 children, with a mixture of 6 years though 12 years of age. At 9:30 am there are 3 staff with 59 children, staff #4 arrived at 9:35 am.
Plan of Correction:
Talk with the SACC office about adjusting staff hours for the next teacher work day.
