Technical Assistance:
Procedures regarding out of state background checks were reviewed. Results of Va fingerprint checks (and criminal record checks, CPS central registry searches and sex offender checks if the applicant has lived in another state within the past five years) must be received before a decision is made regarding the hire of an applicant. Orientation training is to be completed prior to the new employee's first day on duty with the children.
Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A renewal inspection was initiated on 02/18/2021 and concluded on 02/24/2021. The directors were contacted by email to initiate the inspection. There were 93 children present and 23 staff. The inspector emailed the directors a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 7 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs
