Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 09/27/2022 from 8:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. There were 9 children present, ranging in ages from 3 to 4 years old, with 2 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 3 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on observation and interview, the center failed to ensure that at least one staff in each classroom where children are present had current cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification (CPR). Evidence: 1. Staff #1 and #2 were observed to be the only staff members in Classroom #1. 2. Staff #1 and Staff # 2?s CPR certification expired on 08/18/2022. Staff #1 and #2 did not have updated CPR certification on file. 3. Staff #1 confirmed that Staff #1 and Staff #2 did not have updated CPR certification.
