Discussion was held on the topics of current enrollment, and current staffing. The AHERA Periodic Surveillance Assessment form was completed on 05/02/2017. This assessment is within the three year window recommended by the Division of Licensing for buildings built prior to 1978 that uses a management plan for the presence of asbestos. This documentation was observed posted and/or kept at the center. A reminder that a shelter-in-place drill is almost due.

The following inspection took place between the hours of 9:30 am through 11:30 am. Today, I met with the Staff of the Lovettsville Community Center located in the town of Lovettsville, Virginia. At the start of this unannounced monitoring inspection there were a total of 52 children with 8 classroom staff; good ratio for the three preschool rooms and one child day care room in operation. A total of 5 children?s files were reviewed. Staff files will be reviewed on a later date through the PRCS main office in Leesburg. The children were engaged in the following: circle time, large motor activities in the gym due to the weather, bathroom breaks, hand washing, games, story time, song, movement, music, book buddies, learning about patterns, shapes, letters, colors; center activities within the classroom, snack, and other organized activities.
