Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 4/4/2023 from 12:56pm to 2pm. There were 59 school-agers directly supervised by 7 staff. The physical plant, 5 children?s records, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, playing outside. Hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was a sufficient supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid, as well as DHO training. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. The center was clean and organized. Description:
Based on observation, the facility did not ensure that cosmetics, medications and other harmful agents shall not be stored in areas, purses or pockets that are accessible to children. Evidence: observed that 3 staff purses were accessible to children on the stage in the gymnasium where the children spent most of their day. The purses were easily accessible and according to 1 of the three staff members, there were cosmetics and medications in their purse.
