Comments:
A monitoring inspection was completed on March 23, 2023. There were 22 children present with 2 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 3 child records and 2 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on review of staff records, and documentation, in 1 of 2 records the center did not ensure all staff submit to fingerprinting prior to employment or volunteer services.
Evidence: In Staff#2's record (date of hire: 11/21/2022), the Office of Background Investigation (OBI) determination letter was dated 01/31/2023. A review of the staff orientation documentation confirmed the date of hire, shadow date (first day on the floor), and completion of trainings. Staff's documentation confirmed the documentation reviewed during the inspection.
