A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted from 11:00am-1:45pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 44 children in the direct care and supervision of 10 staff. A sample of 6 children's records, 4 staff records, 5 emergency medications, the first aid kit, evacuation drills, emergency materials, the playground, and the physical plant were reviewed. Children were observed playing on the playground, doing arts and crafts, listening to music, and coloring.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
