An unannounced monitoring visit was conducted today from approximately 7:30 am through 9:30 am. There were 57 children in the direct care and supervision of 4 staff. A sample of 5 children's records, and 4 staff's records were reviewed. The children were observed during free choice play, transitioning to and from the gym and dismissal.The physical space, emergency supplies, evacuation drills, attendance records, the Emergency Preparedness Plan and staff certification for CPR/First Aid and Mat training were reviewed. Ratios were in compliance and required documents were posted. The site was clean, organized and contained a varied supply of appropriate materials. Interactions between the children and staff were positive. There were no violations cited today.
