Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 7:30 am- 8:45. There were a total of 60 children with 5 staff members present. Children were observed arriving to the program, engaged in group activities in the gym, coloring and sand art. A selection of staff trainings and children records, medications and other documents were reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Based on medication review, medication is not identified on the prescription label in accordance with the prescriber's instructions pertaining to dosage, frequency and manner of administration. Evidence: The pharmacy label for child #1's medication is labeled, administer .3 mg of medication. The medication form, signed by the physician says to administer .15 mg of medication.
Plan of Correction:
We will speak to the parent about the error.
