Technical assistance today included record keeping.
Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection took place this afternoon from 3:30 - 5 pm. There were 52 children present with 4 staff. I observed children go outdoors but return quickly due to weather. I also observed children actively engaged in working with "ozobots", crafting tissue flowers, building with Legos, coloring and writing letters. Records were well-organized, with medication records (20) complete, with a comprehensive allergy and action listing.If you have any questions, please contact me at brenda.kuhlman@dss.virginia.gov
Based on a review of records today, there was a required item missing from some of the children's files. Evidence: The documentation of annual updates by parents of accurate emergency was not present in 4 of the 6 files reviewed today. (Child # 2, 3, 4, 6)
Plan of Correction:
We will have parents update forms as soon as possible.
