A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted from 7:25am-8:30am to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 13 children at the start of the inspection with 2 staff members, 7 additional children arrived throughout the morning for a total of 20 children. A sample size of 3 children's records, 2 staff records, evacuation drills, emergency materials, the first aid kit, and the physical plant were reviewed. Children were observed playing basketball, playing pool, making rainbow looms, and eating a snack.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
