This inspection was conducted by staff using an alternative remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. An on-site inspection of the program was not conducted at this time however, a portion of the inspection included a virtual component which allowed the inspector to observe classrooms.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted at 9:25am. The SACC staff were contacted by phone to initiate the inspection, and given a list of items required to complete the inspection. There were 8 children present with 5 staff at the time of the inspection. Ratios and supervision were well in compliance. Children were observed doing virtual school. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, and a take-home dinner meal are provided. Classrooms were sufficiently supplied with equipment for the children, and appeared clean and organized today. Information gathered during the inspection determined there were no non-compliances with applicable standards or laws reviewed.
