A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted from 8:15am-9:30am to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 43 children in the direct care and supervision of 3 staff members. A sample size of 6 children's records, 3 staff records, evacuation drills, emergency materials, the first aid kit, one emergency medication, and the physical plant were reviewed. The children were observed coloring, playing board games, building with wooden blocks, and playing a group activity before dismissal to their classrooms.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
