The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) assumed oversight of child care licensing and monitoring on July 1, 2021. All associated regulations and codes have transferred over from the Virginia Department of Social Services.

An unannounced monitoring visit was conducted today. SACC has 2 dedicated rooms in the school. Both rooms were well equipped, clean and staffed with 2 adults. SACC is currently using a "bubble" to minimize COVID exposure and children are assigned to a specific class room. Reviewed medication on-site, trainings for all 4 staff, emergency preparation, snack (banana muffin and juice for the afternoon) as well as physical space. Observed transition into the SACC rooms, hand washing and snack. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
