A self report of a behavior guidance issue was reported to the licensing office in March, the investigation was conducted with local agencies and there was a delay in the investigation due to the current pandemic and other constraints from local agencies. A violation notice was issued base on the investigation. The ongoing compliance with the standards is the responsibility of the licensee. On March 3rd, 2020, a staff failed to promote a child?s physical, intellectual. Emotional, and social wellbeing and growth by interacting with the child in a way that did not promote the child?s privacy and encouraging the child to keep a secret. Evidence: On March 3rd, 2020 a child was having issues with getting on her tablet. A staff member, who was a substitute, sat down on a chair beside the child. The child, a ten year old girl , was sitting on the floor. The staff member gave her the Wi-Fi password for staff and told her not to tell anyone, it was between the two of them. When the ten year old went to get up from the floor, the staff asked if she needed help and the child said no. The staff placed his hand on her bottom twice as she was getting up after the child had said she did not need help.
Plan of Correction:
Individual is no longer an employee and has not worked in the program in any capacity since March 2020.
