Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A subsidy health and safety inspection was initiated on 02/08/2021 and concluded on 02/09/2021. The supervisor was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 20 children present and 13 staff. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy regulations that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with subsidy regulations, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. Based on record review, not all staff have current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the age of children in care. Evidence: 1) The records for Staff #1 and Staff #2 did not contain documentation of current certifications in CPR. The most recent certifications were dated 06/12/2018 and 11/2018 respectively.

We will get everyone's certification up to date ASAP.
