A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted from 7:15am-9:00am to review supplemental health and safety requirements. At the start of the inspection there were 8 children with 2 staff members. 14 additional children arrived throughout the morning for a total of 22 children. The first aid kit, 3 emergency medications, 4 children's records, 2 staff records, emergency materials, the physical plant, and evacuation drills were reviewed. The children were observed having a card game, playing on tablets, and playing gross motor games in the gym.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
