A Subsidy Health and Safety monitoring inspection was conducted on November 6, 2023 during a Teacher Workday to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The inspection lasted from approximately 10:45 a.m. to approximately 11:20 a.m. There were 39 children present with 3 staff. The children were observed playing on the playground. A complete inspection of physical plant, children and staff records, emergency drills, menu, and injury reports was completed. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on record review, 1 out of 3 staff who work directly with children did not have a current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
Evidence: Staff #1's CPR certification expired on 10/28/2023.
Plan of Correction:
Staff #1 will sign-up for CPR once a class is available.
