Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from approximately 7:15am to 8:25am. 9 children were present with 4 staff members at the beginning of the inspection. Ratios remained in compliance throughout the visit. The physical space, staff records, children?s records, evacuation drills, required posted documents, injury reports and attendance records were reviewed. No medications were on site. The space was organized and contained age appropriate materials. Children were observed working on crafts, reading, playing with playdough and interacting with the staff. Interactions were positive. Based on interviews and record review, monthly practice evacuation drills were not conducted as required by Licensing Standards.
Evidence: Evacuation drills were not conducted in September and October.
Plan of Correction:
We were in the middle of transition. We will stay on top of the drills from now on.
