A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted between 7:00am & 8:30am; there were 24 children with 4 staff members. Physical plant, staff and children records, medications and emergency procedures were reviewed along with the supplemental health and safety requirements. A licensing inspection was also conducted on the date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Based on review of 4 medications, 1 does not have a written allergy care plan, to include instruction from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic and steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction. Child #1 has a medication on site for an allergic reaction with no allergy care plan.
Plan of Correction:
We will contact the parent and get a written allergy care plan.
