Technical assistance was provided and standard reviewed/discussed for documentation of CPR training (8VAC20-790-600 F).
Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 4/2/24 from 10:08am to 11:20am. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI inspection. The two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice and discussed during the exit interview.
Based on record review and interview the vendor did not ensure that staff that work directly with children complete the department?s annual health and safety update course.
Evidence: 1.Staff #1 did not have the completed annual health and safety update course in their record. 2.The program director confirmed that the annual health and safety update course was not completed for staff #1.
Plan of Correction:
The director will ensure the staff member takes the pre-service 3 hour update training.
