Comments:
An unannounced inspection was conducted in response to a self reported incident on 2/15/24. The incident was related to allegations about staff using inappropriate methods to redirect a child in the Older 2's classroom. 4 staff members were interviewed, 2 staff records and 1 child's record was reviewed. Based on the preponderance of evidence, the allegations were not valid. Other violations not related to the allegations have been cited in the violation notice. Based on records review, the center did not obtain results of a fingerprint based criminal record check (CRC) for an employee prior to the first day of employment. Evidence: 1. Staff # 2's first day of employment was 2/12/24. 2. Results of Staff # 2's CRC was obtained on 2/21/24.
Plan of Correction:
Fingerprints will be completed to the first day of employment.

Description:
Based on records reviewed, the center did not obtain a sworn disclosure statement (SDS) for an employee prior to the first day of employment. Evidence: 1. Staff # 1's first day of employment was 2/12/24. 2. The center had not obtained an SDS for Staff # 1 to this date.
Plan of Correction:
Staff # 1 is no longer employed with the center. Moving forward sworn statements will be completed before or by the first day of employment .
