This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was initiated on 4/28/2021, and concluded on 5/24/2021, approximately from 11:50 am to 12:30 pm. There were 50 children supervised by 13 direct care staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection.
The physical plant, 5 staff record, 7 children?s records, children activities, children's activities, emergency procedures, drills and supplies were inspected. During the inspection, children were observed eating lunch, individual art activity, circle time and transitioning from outdoor play. Hand washing was observed during the inspection. The interactions between the children and caregivers were seen to be positive and constructive in nature.
No violations were observed during the inspection.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance Child Care Programs. Staff and children were wearing masks and hand on face shields while eating. Staff and children were maintaining social distancing.
