Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on April 3, 2024, from 10:10 a.m. through 11:10 p.m. Upon arrival, there were 6 children, ages 4 through 5, in the care of 2 staff.
The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 children and 4 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined noncompliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Based on record review, the facility failed to obtain Virginia central registry findings within 30 days of employment for two staff.
Evidence:
1. Four staff records were reviewed. 2. Staff #3 and Staff #4 did not have documentation of obtaining a Virginia central registry check. 3. Staff #3's date of hire was documented 9.1.2023. Staff #4's date of hire was documented 1.22.2023. 4. The director confirmed central registry checks had not been submitted.
