This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
An announced inspection was conducted on August 24, 2020. The purpose of the inspection was to tour the D.G. Cooley Elementary School before beginning care on September 8th for full-day school-age children who are not in school due to the COVID State of Emergency. The center is requesting an increase in capacity from 74 to 200 children. The inspector conducted a an inspection in which rooms and restrooms which will be used by the program were virtually toured. All classrooms in the school will be used for care along with the Multi-Purpose room, the Gymnasium, and the Library. There were no violations of the licensing standards issued during the inspection.
