Technical Assistance:
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the director COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

22 VAC 40-185-560 was discussed; Nutrition and food services with regards to 560.F.1 (which states) Centers shall follow the most recent, age-appropriate nutritional requirements of a recognized authority such as the Child and Adult Care Food Program of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Any time a center provides food, the requirements of 22 VAC 40-185-560.F must be met. On Attachment IV (in the back of the standards for Child Day Centers) it states that according to the CHILD CARE FOOD PROGRAM MEAL PATTERN, for Snack, at least two of the four components will need to be selected to meet these USDA requirements.

The need to complete the online Licensing Programs - Injury of a Child Requiring Outside Medical Treatment/Death Report (IROMT). This report is for any injury obtained by a child in care where outside medical treatment has been sought either by the center or reported to the center by the parent or guardian.
