An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on Thursday, August 15, 2019 from 9:50am to 10:45am. The children were observed playing in the learning centers. Today was the second day of the new school year for them. The playground was inspected as well. Five children?s records and two partial employee records were reviewed during this inspection. The center administers medication; however they did not have any being given at this time. The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected. Last emergency drill: 05/09/2019 (center closed for the months of June and July) Last shelter-in-place drill: 04/25/2019 Last fire inspection: 10/12/2017 Last health inspection: 02/13/2019 Today, the following child to staff ratios were observed: Mixed Age Group Preschool (3-5 years old)- 15:2 The violations from the previous inspections were checked for corrections. Based on a review of documentation and staff interview on 08/15/2019, the center did not ensure that an annual fire inspection report was provided to the licensing representative.
EVIDENCE:
1. The most recent fire inspection report available at the center is dated 10/12/2017. 2. Staff #1 stated that an inspection was done over the summer, but she didn't have the report.
