Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted today between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 9 children (23 point) present with 2 caregivers. The children were observed playing, coloring, handwashing, eating snack, playing outside and eating lunch. Lunch consisted of Chicken nuggets, green beans, pineapple and milk was also served. The subsidy requirements were reviewed this date; allergy action plans, staff trainings, nutrition and food services, recordkeeping, hazardous substances, reporting injuries, emergency plans and transportation. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Based on review of caregiver records, 2 of 2 records did not include documentation of the Virginia Preservice Training.
Plan of Correction:
We have completed the training, but unable to locate document at time of inspection. I will email it to inspector as soon as I have located it.
