Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 9:15am-12:40 am. There were 109 children (2-5yrs.) directly supervised by 20 staff. The physical plant, 4 staff records, 4 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, reading books, participating in circle time and mindfulness activities, playing outside, and eating breakfast. potty routines and hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was an ample supply of materials for the children. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid, as well as DHO training. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Description: Based upon observation, hazardous materials were not kept in a locked place preventing access by children.
Evidence: Classroom #2 hand sanitizer was located on shelf by classroom door next to ipad.

Plan of Correction: We will remind staff that hand sanitizer cannot be accessible to children.
