Technical Assistance:
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A monitoring inspection was initiated on 04/12/21 and concluded on 04/15/21. The in-charge person was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 7 children present and 2 caregivers. The inspector emailed the in-charge person a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 3 caregiver records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
Based on observation the licensee did not ensure all required items were in the home's first aid kit. Evidence: The first aid kit did not have a cold pack.
Plan of Correction:
The following corrective action was provided by the licensee during the exit interview: A cold pack will be purchased today and added to the first aid kit.
